The 12-inch MacBook with Retina display is sexy to see, but its specs may leave additional information to be desired.

Thanks to some new benchmarks, we have a clearer picture from what to expect from the new MacBook's chip. And it's basically as beneficial as a 2011 MacBook Air.

Geekbench tests of the entry-level Retina Mac book, which was coincidentally unboxed today at last, have been posted (and removed) around the web, and they reflect the kind of performance this is expected from Intel's M chip (clocked at 1 . 1GHz with Turbo Boost at 2 . 4GHz).

Who have single-core scores in the 1924 ball park and multi-core scores in the level of 4038, the new MacBook's performance extremely important close to the top-tier MacBook Air caused from 2011 with an Intel Core i7 clocked at 1 . 8GHz. For further distinction, the 2015 MacBook Air's chip is nearly twice as powerful as the novel MacBook with scores of 2881 yet 5757.

Processors aren't everything, however. The new MacBook has a Retina page, and it's graphics performance being far better than older laptops. Renovations in SSD technology will also keep a big difference in overall speed.
